To receive your prescriptions, Phlo uses the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), which is only available in England.

EPS makes it possible for your prescriptions to be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.

Choosing a pharmacy to process your EPS prescription(s) is called nomination.

What are the benefits of the EPS?

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) can save you time by avoiding unnecessary trips to your GP.

This means that you’ll no longer have to collect a paper prescription from your GP practice. Instead, your nominated pharmacy can deliver your medication straight to your door.

For more detailed information, download the EPS Patient Information Leaflet (PDF, 52.8kb). Or watch What is EPS? on the EPS YouTube channel.

Who can see my prescription?

EPS is reliable, secure, and confidential. Your electronic prescription will be seen by the same people that are currently able to see your paper prescription: your GP practice, nominated pharmacy, and NHS prescription payment and fraud agencies.

They'll also be able to check where your prescriptions will be sent to. If you're on repeat prescriptions, our pharmacy team will also see all the items on your repeat prescription.
